Headland Earthworks LLC, 15 Hannaford Drive, York, Maine. This page explains what this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
If you fill in the quote request form, we receive what you type into it: your name, phone number, email address if you choose to give one, the site address or town, the type of work, your rough timescale, and any description you add.
Phone number and site location are required because we cannot quote excavation work without knowing who to call and where the ground is. Email is optional.
Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address of visitors. That happens automatically at the hosting level and is normal for any website.
We do not use analytics, advertising tags, or tracking cookies. Nothing on this site profiles you or follows you elsewhere. The typefaces are served from our own server rather than a third party, so simply reading these pages sends your details to nobody.
What we do with it
We use what you send to reply to you, arrange a site visit, and price the work. That is all. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it, and we do not send marketing email.
Where it goes
A quote request is stored on this website and emailed to our office address. That means it passes through our web host and our email provider, both of which can technically see it, in the same way a letter passes through the post office.
We do not share your details with anyone else, with one exception: if your job needs a licensed site evaluator, a surveyor, a blasting contractor, or a town office, we may pass on what they need to do their part. We will tell you when that is happening.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. Cookies are set only when someone signs in to administer the website, and those exist purely to keep them logged in.
The quote form checks how quickly it was submitted and includes a hidden field that real people leave blank. Both are basic spam defences that happen on our own server. We deliberately avoid third-party CAPTCHA services, so filling in our form does not hand your data to a large advertising company.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests while they are useful — an active enquiry, a job in progress, and a reasonable period afterwards for warranty and record-keeping. We delete or anonymise older enquiries that came to nothing.
What you can ask us to do
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or email and we will do it. There is no form and no process to navigate.

If we are in the middle of work for you, some records may need to be kept for contractual or accounting reasons, and we will say so plainly rather than quietly ignore the request.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information about them.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection, so what you type into the form is protected in transit. No website can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Changes
If we add anything to this site that collects more than it does today — a social media feed, analytics, or online advertising — we will update this page to say so.
